This Sopwith Camel wood airplane propeller evokes memories of a bygone era. It recalls the early days of aviation when biplanes and tri-wing planes roamed the skies during WW I engaging in aerial combat. The Sopwith Camel aircraft was known to be difficult to fly but had excellent maneuverability for that time and could reach speeds of up to 115 mph. Eventually 5,490 of the British fighter plane were manufactured and the Sopwith Camel has been credited with downing 1,294 enemy aircraft which is more than any of the other allied fighters.
