Aviation Poster – The Flying Machines Air Race Aviation Poster is a fun history of aviation poster. This aviation poster portrays the 23 aircraft that flew in the first air race, then called air meet, in August of 1909 in Reims, France. The Curtiss Golden Flyer set a speed record of 46 ½ mph on a 10 km course.
