Nose Art Panels – This B-17 Memphis Belle Aircraft Nose Art panel is a collectible aviation art replica based upon the original aircraft. Each B-17 Memphis Belle Aircraft Nose Art panel is hand painted and exquisitely detailed to ensure an authentic reproduction. The B-17 Memphis Belle was piloted by Robert K. Morgan and gained notoriety because it was the first aircraft to complete 25 combat missions in Europe.

Aircraft nose art became popular during WW II as a way to increase troop morale and give the crews a sense of identity. It also gave the troops a unique way to express themselves and, in many cases, remind them of home and what they were fighting to protect. Each slightly curved panel is painted on aircraft grade aluminum and has hangers for easy wall mounting. The panel measures about 40” wide and 17” high. Shipping weight is calculated at 15 lbs.
