Aviator Watches - The Altimeter Compass Pilot Watch, with new slim design, is one powerful pilot watch. This Altimeter Compass Pilot Watch has both atomic timekeeping and solar power and is packed with features that will assist an aviator with pre-flight planning, in-flight measurements and timing, and post flight record keeping. This watch is also ideal for those with an adventurous spirit that enjoy hiking, biking, climbing, etc. The atomic time keeping is multi-band which means the watch can access the transmitters from Japan, Germany, England or the U.S. This new slim version of the Altimeter Compass Watch measures about 1.8" wide (47.4mm) and is only about .45" thick (11.5mm) with attractive titanium color and band.

The Altimeter Compass Pilot Watch also records the temperature every 5 minutes. The range is from 14° to 140° Fahrenheit (may be changed to Celsius). Having a temperature reading is particularly handy for pilots wanting to calculate density altitude.

World Time! Now it’s easy to complete a flight plan with GMT! The Altimeter Compass Pilot Watch can display 29 time zones and the time for 30 major cities around the world. Time can also be displayed in a 12 or a 24-hour format.

The chronograph or stopwatch measures in 1/10th of a second. Key to every pilot maintaining their pilot log is an accurate account of the duration of flight for their logbook. For an instrument rated pilot, timing an approach is essential.

Another useful feature for pilots is the Auto Light. We believe that an instrument rated pilot will find this feature invaluable. During an approach under IMC, the cockpit can be intense. Let’s say the pilot is descending through cruddy stuff and experiencing turbulence. The pilot is not going to want to take his or her hands off the controls to press a button to see the time on the watch. With the Auto Light feature, the pilot simply tilts the watch 40° from a horizontal position, and the entire watch face is illuminated making it easy to read.

Thanks to the advances in the technology of Solar Power units, no battery replacement is every required with this watch! A small amount of light is all that is required to power the watch. Fully charged, the watch will function for approximately 5 months, depending upon feature usage. Recharge the solar power unit with sunlight or indoor lighting. There is even a visible battery power indicator so the user can easily see the power level.
